Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27
There is so much fear at this time. The Coronavirus has got people scared with some even living in panic. So, what do you do when you're afraid of what may come? The truth is we never know what's going to happen with or without a virus that is spreading far and wide. That's where faith comes in. With every uncertainty there is an opportunity. Look on the bright side of what that opportunity may bring your way. It may be an opportunity to grow closer to God and know that He is with you. The truth is God has a plan. I don't need to know the plan, I just need to trust the plan.
Sure, I'm a little anxious myself, but when I feel a moment of fear coming on I take a few deep breaths, say a prayer and almost immediately feel a sense of relief. Uncertain times may be some of the best times because we come together in a way that we don't always get the opportunity to.
I'm personally not worried about myself, I'm worried about close loved ones that have compromised immune systems. So, what is in my control? Staying informed and making smart choices. I'm taking precautions with my interactions with others and using good hygiene. Look out for others and remember everyone may be a little on edge so be kind. Don't think too far ahead as that only increases anxiety. Deal with each day one at a time and be smart about your choices in each moment. Spend time with those you love and enjoy the quiet. Slow down. Listen to yourself and reflect on all that you do have. Gratitude is the best anti-anxiety trick. Learn to settle your fears and build your resilience. Do something you haven't had the time for until now. Journal and ask yourself, "What is God trying to show me?"
I felt the nudge to pull an Oracle card tonight for the collective in hopes it may offer up a little insight. And sure enough it does:
Card's Message: Heartbreak is a strange healer of souls. Our grief strips away our masks and loosens our tight hold on our separateness, where we view ourselves as "I" and the world as "it." Loss allows us to see ourselves as part of a larger scheme, opening us up to sympathy, empathy, and dependence on others in the moment when we can't hold ourselves together. And it leads us to become one with the greater whole again. Pain and suffering is part of life, and none of us will be immune to it. Can you view this loss, this pain, this dissonance, as a way back to Source? Let your sorrow break your heart wide open. You will never be left behind. You are loved - now more than ever - by Spirit, who does not want you to feel alone. One day you will look back and know this truth.
Through adversity is where faith is found.
If you believe everything happens for a reason then that means everything not just some things. There is healing that is needed on our planet. Let this be an opportunity for you to come back to your faith. Know that everything will be okay. There is something bigger at work here than we may understand. And God does have this. He always does.
I want to support all of you on this journey. I'll be sending distance healing to the collective each evening and praying for our planet.
