Does God speak to us? Of course He does.
God speaks to us in everything we do. Sometimes it's a voice outside of ourselves guiding us, other times it's through a friend, and most often it's those little nudges that don't go away until we listen.
I remember the first time I realized that communicating with God is a two-way street. God not only listens, but He speaks. I've heard His voice many times throughout my life. I just had to learn what His voice sounded like. For me it's a gentle, loving voice that is there when I need it the most. His voice has stepped in and helped warn me when I was in harms way and it's also given me wisdom and direction when I needed it the most. And other times we just chat back and forth like the best of friends. Because He truly is my best friend. I love Him more than anything. God is in everything, everywhere, all the time. He is not separate from us. He is within us.
When I work with clients I hear God's voice giving me the words to say. To let them know He is there and they are not alone. I can't tell you how many times people have asked me how I know what I know about them, their loved ones and their family in Heaven. I tell them the same thing every time, "I don't know, God does. I'm just His messenger to give you what you need to hear." My name does mean Messenger of God for a reason. And I take my name to heart.
God speaks to us in the silence - are you listening?
Sometimes we avoid listening to His voice because we're not ready for what it has to say. Be still and listen. His is the voice of truth.

One of the ways God is able to help us in life is by giving us direction. But we have to be willing to listen and trust in Him for all of our needs. I've been talking to God and hearing Him talk back for years. Now it's become a normal part of my everyday life. But there are still times where He's silent. I've come to understand some things I'm just not meant to know and instead I'm to trust in Him that the answers will reveal themselves in due time. In His time. If you haven't talked to God in a while start today. It'll be the best decision you ever make and then ask Him to give you the wisdom to hear Him speaking back. It's the best relationship any of us are given.
